New Wednesday hours at Dunn County Transfer Station/Public Drop Off Site
The people have spoken and Dunn County Solid Waste Division is listening. With the clock turning back an hour for daylight savings time, it gets dark sooner. The Division has taken resident feedback into consideration and factoring in winter daylight hours. To better accommodate both, starting Wednesday, December 2, 2015 the Dunn County Transfer Station/Public Drop Off site outside of Menomonie on Hwy. 29 will be changing its Wednesday hours.
Changes include adding an additional hour as well as shifting to open two hours sooner with the new hours of 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. This will enable residents to have more time and access for their trash and recycling needs. The Dunn County Transfer Station/Public Drop Off site is available to the general public for trash and recycling at the Dunn County Transfer Station & Recycling Center/Public Drop Off, E3900 Hwy. 29, Menomonie. The new hours, effective Dec. 2, 2015 are Mondays 6:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Wednesdays 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.; and Saturdays 7:00 a.m. – noon.
Recycling is always free and trash disposal is available to residents who are part of a participating municipality or have personally opted to purchase a Dunn County Solid Waste Permit.
