MARILYN LOUISE MILLER

Marilyn Louise Miller, age 71 of Connorsville, WI passed away after a very courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer on November 5th, 2015 surrounded by her family and the support from Adoray Hospice Care and Wonderful Nurse Nancy Rock.

Marilyn’s unmovable faith in Christ Jesus was her foundation and she is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father.

Marilyn was born June 22nd, 1944 in Wheeler, WI to Woodrow and Delma (Fortin) Weber. She grew up on her family farm outside of Knapp, WI. She graduated from Boyceville High School in 1962. Marilyn married the love of her life, David Miller on October 20th, 1962, at the United Methodist Church in Knapp, WI. Together they called Connorsville, WI home for the past 36 years and raised four children.

Marilyn worked hard at helping support her family with many years as a waitress at Brennaman’s Supper Club in Turtle Lake. She also worked as a secretary for the Harnisch Lumber Company in Connorsville. Marilyn attended the University of Wisconsin, Stout, in Menomonie, WI. She received her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Vocational Rehabilitation in 1989 and 1996, graduating with High Honors. Marilyn always loved helping others, and utilizing her degree by making Head Start her career, retiring in 2011.

Marilyn had many hobbies and talents, and always loved gardening. Flower gardening was one of Marilyn’s favorite activities, and her yard always had lots of beautifully blooming flowers. Marilyn also loved arts and crafts, interior design, and creating hand-made gifts for family and friends. Marilyn loved helping her daughter Shelly and her grandchildren with school projects.

Her loving husband of 53 years David Miller.

Her sons Allen (Markey Lanphere) Miller of Poulsbo, WA and Dennis (Carla) Miller of Waukasha, WI.

Her daughters Michele (Albert) Kelly of Boyceville, WI and Teresa (Jeff) Cline of Forest, WI.

Grandchildren: Andrew and Alex Miller, Josh (Amanda) Tireman, Robert (Dawn) Kelly, Samantha Kelly, Zachary (Samantha) Kelly, Amber Kelly, Nicholas (Amber) Samens, Kyle (Emilee Standaert) Samens, Noah and Jonah Cline, Felty Borntreger and Myia Draeger.

Great Grandchildren: Hannah and Claire Tireman, McKenzie and Olivia Kelly, Josie and Madeline Samens.

Siblings: Joan (Lee) Kammerlohr of Quincy, IL; Gary (Christine) Weber of Chander, AZ; Lynda (Thomas) Huskey of Fond du Lac, WI; Charles (Kathleen) Weber of Menomonie, WI; Rick (Mary) Weber of Chandler, AZ; Mark (Diane) Weber of Maple Grove, MN.

Brother in-law John (Alice) Miller of Madison WI and sister in-law Marjoire (Howell Peiser) Miller of Nashville, TN and many nieces and nephews, and a great number of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Woodrow and Delma Weber, Father and Mother In-law Herbert and Edna Miller, and great nephew Dan Robinson.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10th, 2015, with visitation from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, with Pastor Bradley Peterson officiating. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is serving the family.
