DONNA M. BRETTIGEN

Donna M. Brettingen, age 84, of Glenwood City, WI died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at her home with hospice.

Donna was born January 13, 1931 in Minot, ND to John and Alma (Wendt) Pearson. She graduated from the Minot High School. Donna worked for a State Farm Insurance Co. in the cities as a secretary. Donna married Ron Brettingen May 1, 1954 in Glenwood City. She went to work as a secretary for American Family Insurance Co. and later Donna and Ron owned and operated the Indianhead Motor Plaza. They enjoyed traveling to every state except Alaska. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ron in 2014 and brothers and sisters.

Donna is survived by children: Doreen (Tom) Best, Lori (Mark) Voeltz and Darren Brettingen; grandchildren: Andy (Kristy) Johnson, Adam (Kari) Johnson, Casey (Annie Young) Voeltz, Roni Leslie Voeltz, Taylor Voeltz, Tena Best, Elizabeth Best, Joe (Kayla) Best, Jason (Jeana) Best and Ryan (Sara) Best; great-grandchildren: Aidan, Abbie & Noah Johnson, Isabel, Matthew & Lilly Johnson, Mason Voeltz, Chesney, Cora & Landyn Leslie, Jayden & Jonathan Best; brother Harold “Bobbie” Pearson; brother-in-law Orrie (Annabel) Brettingen. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City with Reverend Diane House officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Glenwood Cemetery Glenwood City, WI. Friends may call at the church on Saturday two hours prior to services.
