RANDALL L. BUSS
Randy L. Buss, 59 of Menomonie, WI passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
He was born January 24, 1956 in Menomonie to Howard and Joan (Clements) Buss. He grew up in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1974.
Randy married Jacqueline Holzer September 6, 1975 at First Congregational Church in Menomonie. They just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this year. They had two children Amy and Eric.
Randy’s passion was stock car racing. He helped build Red Cedar Speedway serving many roles over the years including President to serving on the Wissota national board. He built many racecars over the years, most recently he built a vintage car from the ground up with his son. He had dreams of building race cars with his grandchildren. He taught his children and grandchildren many things to be cherished. Randy enjoyed building model cars and he loved camping with his family. He helped anyone he could and will be greatly missed.
Randy is survived by his wife Jacqueline Buss of Menomonie, son Eric Buss of Colfax, daughter Amy (Clint) Peterson of Colfax; grandsons Chace, Braden and Jaylen Peterson, mother Joan Buss of Menomonie; brother Dave (Gloria) Buss of Menomonie; sisters-in-law JoAnn (Dennis) Gotlibson of Chippewa Falls and Jill Holzer of Eau Claire; mother-in-law Jan Holzer of Arizona. He also survived by many nieces, other relatives and great friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Howard Buss, niece Traci M Buss, grandparents Fred and Mabel (Timm) Clements, Otto and Ella (Behling) Buss, aunt’s Helen (Morris) Scapple and Mildred Bourdaux, uncle Don Clements cousins Patsy Bourdaux and John Scapple and best friend Ben Mizer.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Pastor Kristine Stedje officiating. There will be a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
