Dunn County Farm Bureau holds annual meeting
MENOMONIE – Members of the Dunn County Farm Bureau held their annual meeting on Tuesday, September 22nd at Dean & Sue’s in Menomonie.
As a grassroots organization, it is Farm Bureau’s members on the county level who create and set the policy goals of the state’s leading farm organization. The Wisconsin Farm Bureau is often asked to get involved in issues affecting production agriculture and rural Wisconsin both in Madison and Washington D.C. During the meeting, members discussed a wide range of issues including farmer led water quality initiatives, transportation funding and healthcare. Resolutions passed during the meeting will be forwarded on for consideration by the Wisconsin Farm Bureau.
Frank Retz of Boyceville replaced Loren Hanson on the Board of Directors. Delegates were also elected to attend the Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Annual Meeting in December.
In addition to the regular business at the Dunn County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting, Dale and Cindy Quilling received the Dunn County Farm Bureau Service to Agriculture Award. They were recognized for all of the hard work and dedication that they have provided to Dunn County Farm Bureau over the years.
