Geneva Kistner, age 85 of Menomonie, Wisconsin, formerly of Connorsville, died Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie.

Geneva was born January 4, 1930 to Paul P and Edna (Amundson)  Pederstuen in Prairie Farm, Wisconsin.  Geneva’s mother died when she was just 9 months old and she was raised by Anna Lillevold.  She grew up and attended school at Prairie Farm and graduated in 1948.

On August 18, 1949 Geneva married Harlan Kistner at Menomonie.  They raised a family of 4 children.  Geneva served as a 4-H Leader and was active in the local Homemakers. She kept busy baking, sewing, fishing, and travelling.  She enjoyed games of any kind, her pets, and would go out of her way to help family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Harlan; one sister Sandra and one brother Paul.

Survivors include her four children: Caryll (Ken) Linck of Janesville, WI; Tim Kistner of Boyceville; Jerry (Bev) Kistner of New Richmond; and Mary (Pete) Krueger of Wheeler; 9 grandchildren: Ryan (Tanya) Schaaf; Randy (Brittany) Schaaf; Brent Kistner; Mellissa (Mike) Wurtzler; Venessa (Tim) Doss; Jason (Jill) Kistner; Lynnae (Mike) Nehring; Jesse (Shanna) Krueger; and Chris (Cindy) Krueger; 11 great grandchildren; 7 siblings; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at West Akers Lutheran Church, Prairie Farm, WI on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation was for one hour prior to the service only.

Burial was in Vanceburg Cemetery, Prairie Farm, Wisconsin.
