Robert Brathall, age 84, of Baldwin, Wisconsin died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond, Wisconsin.
Bob was born October 30, 1930, the son of Curtis and Cena (Hilmoe) Brathall in Baldwin Township, St Croix County, Wisconsin. He grew up in the Baldwin and Woodville area and attended Baldwin-Woodville Schools.
He entered the U.S. Army and served from 1948 until 1952 during the Korean War. He was honored with a Bronze Star. After returning from his service, he lived Wilson area and in 1972 moved to St Paul. He lived and worked in the twin cities until 2012. On October 26, 1973 he married Betty Johnson in St Paul. He retired in 1992 and in 2012 moved back to Baldwin. Bob was a huge Packer fan and his favorite hobbies were shaking dice (6-5-4) and playing cribbage.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Betty; 1 brother LeRoy Brathall; 5 sisters: Arlene (Al) Thompson; Harriett (John) Prause; Doris Yoder; Betty Lois Brathall; and Jean Brathall.
Survivors include his brother Douglas Brathall of New Richmond; sister-in-law Liz Brathall of Hudson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Honorary Pall Bearers for Bob and Betty are Josh DeLong, Bryce Fayerweather, Delanie Fayerweather, Blake Fayerweather, Mathew Finder, Nicky Carriveau, and Maya Carriveau.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, April 23 from 5-7 pm at Keehr Funeral Home in Spring Valley.
