Daniel Jerry Hiben, age 40 of Prairie Farm, WI passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, surrounded by his family.
Dan was born September 17, 1974 in Menomonie, WI to Jerry & Julie (McWithey) Hiben. He was baptized and confirmed at the Boyceville United Methodist Church. He graduated from Boyceville High School in 1993. On September 21, 1996, Dan married Jody Shultz in Boyceville, WI. Dan & Jody were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Nicole and Allison. They are the loves of his life.
Dan worked on the home farm and for some local farmers, then later at Fleet Farm, and spent the last 20 years at Walmart Distribution Center 6025.
Dan was an avid sportsman who enjoyed trout & lake fishing, ice fishing, bow and gun hunting, trapping, hound hunting, cutting wood, 4-wheeling, woodworking, golfing, spending time with family and friends with his beverage of choice, and raising his daughters well.
Dan is survived by his wife Jody, daughters Nicole & Allison of Prairie Farm; his parents Jerry & Julie Hiben of Boyceville; sister Jessica Hiben of Ridgeland; sister Amanda (Kevin) Hanson of Baldwin; father & mother-in-law Ed & Bev Shultz of Prairie Farm, sister-in-law Peggy (David) Rassbach of Prairie Farm; nephew and nieces Dylan Hanson; Ashlee Hanson, Brittany Rassbach (Charlie Selkow), Megan Rassbach; great nephew Mason Rassbach; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal & maternal grandparents, Raymond & Lucille Hiben, Malcolm & Edna McWithey, and Jody’s son Tyler.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Boyceville United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be at Vanceburg Cemetery, township of Sheridan, Dunn County at a later date.
And he graciously lived the high life.
