AGNES A. HANSON

Agnes A. Hanson, age 96, of Woodville, WI formerly of Boyceville, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at home.

The former Agnes Augusta Weaver was born Aug. 21, 1918 in The Town of Hay River, Dunn Co. WI to Charles and Annis (Mischler) Weaver. On March 11, 1937 she married Erland Hanson in Menomonie.  They were married for 65 years.

Agnes and Erland farmed most of their lives in the Town of Tiffany.  Agnes also worked for Boyceville Schools and cooked for The Young at Heart in Boyceville.

Agnes and her husband enjoyed camping and fishing and they belonged to a square dance club for many years.  Agnes also loved gardening and canning and she always had coffee and goodies out for friends and family that stopped by.

Agnes is survived by her daughter, Karen (Ken) Singerhouse of Woodville; grandsons, Kevin of Long Beach CA, Brian (Bev) of Boyceville, Ted (Andrea) of New Brockton AL, Joe (Angela) of Woodville; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Erland; her parents; sisters, Evelyn Vine and Orpha Grossklaus; and brother, Clark Weaver.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating.  There will be visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.  Burial will be in Hay River Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Hay River, Dunn Co. WI.
