MADISON – To use the famous words of boxing ring announcer Michael Buffer, ‘Are You Ready to Rumble?’
In just a half hour, the pageantry of the Wisconsin State Wrestling Finals will kick-off in the Kohl Center in Madison with a pair of Boyceville grapplers vying for gold medals in the Division 3 competition at the 72nd annual WIAA State Wrestling Championships.
Senior Austin Wolfe will be among the first group of wrestlers to try and claim gold at Championship Saturday Night.
Wolfe, 40-4, will be facing Stratford freshman AJ Schoenfuss, 45-2, in the 106-pound title match.
About an hour later, freshman phenom Garrett Joles will get a crack at corralling gold at 170 pounds.
Joles will take on top-ranked Devin Lemanski. The Edgar senior is unbeaten this season.
