RUSSELL R. MINNICH

Russell R. Minnich, 71, of Colfax, passed away February 12, 2015, at the Clairemont Nursing Home in Eau Claire.

Russell was born in Kankakee, Illinois to Harry and Mildred (Bowman) Minnich on December 19, 1943. He married his wife Lois Evenson on February 14, 1976. Russell enjoyed spending time with his pets, puppets, and going camping. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Russell is survived by his wife, Lois Minnich; Children, Russell (Rhonda) Minnich, Jeanie Minnich, Virgie Minnich; three sisters, Marie Silger, Nancy Pease, and Martha (Dave) O’Conner; sister-in-laws, Ginger Minnich, Mary Minnich, and Martha Murray; brother-in-law Dave (Shirley) Evenson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Russell is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mildred Minnich; two brothers, John Minnich and Harry Minnich; a sister, Barbara Minnich; a son, Chuckie Minnich.

A memorial service was held at 3 p.m., on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at Schriver-Thompson Funeral Home in Bloomer, WI, with Pastor Josh Toufar officiating. Visitation was held one hour prior to the memorial service.
