ELLEN E. WIENKE

Ellen E. Wienke, of Waukesha, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, surrounded by her family at the age of 94 years.

Ellen was born in Downing, WI on November 4, 1920, the daughter of Boles and Anna Olech. She was a founding member of St. William parish. Ellen did not have much cash to put in the weekly envelope, but she gave her time and talent. You could find her working the rummage sale, baking for a bake sale, and cleaning the altar, where she found the most enjoyment. Ellen loved sunflowers, birds, cows, and reading. Family, friends, and her fantastic neighbors were very important to her.

Ellen is survived by her daughters, Mary Ellen (Jack) Schickowski of Waukesha and Geri (Dennis) Lucchesi of Brookfield; grandchildren, Jeff (Ruth) Schickowski of Sheboygan, Rob Schickowski of Waukesha, Chris (Marie) Schickowski of Green Bay, Susan (Doug) Nader of Brookfield, Mike (Mari) Koepp of Waukesha, Chad (Shelly) Lucchesi of New Berlin, Becky (Kurt) Kreiter of New Berlin, Nick (Laura) Lucchesi of Story City, IA, Andrew (Breehan) Lucchesi of Ames, IA and Kate (Andy) Stockland of West Allis; special nephew, Rev. Dennis Meulemans of Rib Lake, WI; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great, great grandchildren. She is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

Ellen is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence in 1997; her parents and sister, Anne.

A visitation for Ellen was held on Monday, February 9, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Rev. Curt Frederick will be officiating. Burial at Prairie Home Cemetery immediately followed. Memorials in Ellen’s honor are appreciated to St. William Catholic Church (see address above).
