Lois S. Siler, age 72, of Menomonie, WI passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 at Comforts of Home in Menomonie.

She was born on July 8, 1942 in Menomonie, WI to Herman and Elizabeth (McCurtain) Holzhueter. She grew up in the Menomonie area and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1960.

Lois married Albert “Al” Siler on September 24, 1960 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Menomonie. They had three children. She was an active member in the Kanda Kruisers Snowmobile Club and the Red Cedar Custom Car Club for many years. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City, WI, and enjoyed teaching Sunday School for many years.

Lois is survived by her husband Al of Menomonie; Children: Cynthia (Wayne) Tuttle of Glenwood City, WI, Fay (Jerry) Metz of Stillwater, MN, Eric (Carrie) Siler of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Grandchildren: Derek (Amy) Tuttle of Hammond, WI, Katie (Timothy) Miller of Downing, WI, Jacob Metz and Joshua Metz of Stillwater, MN, Jordan Siler and Dane Siler of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Great-grandchildren: Tori & Tinley Miller and Madden Tuttle; Brothers and sisters: Douglas Holzhueter, Mary Labs, Ann (Georganna) Holzhueter. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Elizabeth; brothers-in-law Robert Labs and Jim Siler, and sister-in-law Joyce Holzhueter.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City with Pastor Diane House officiating. Visitation was from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Menomonie at a later date. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association.
