LOLA CHRISTINE BOSBEN

Lola Christine Bosben, age 82, of Colfax, was called to Heaven on November, 20, 2014.

She was born on February 25, 1932, in Madison, Wisconsin, to Charles and Catherine Schnering.

Lola (beloved Lolly) enjoyed fishing, gardening, scrapbooking, and writing short stories. Some of her favorite pastimes were watching old movies, dancing, and listening to music. In her younger years she worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Madison General Hospital and Colfax Nursing Home. She cared deeply for her family, grandchildren, and friends.

Lola is survived by her daughters, Catherine Bosben and partner Dennis Price of Menomonie, Rachel Tilseth of Menomonie, Lynne and Chris Matalas of Colfax, Nanette and Jeff Wallace of Colfax, and Hedwig and James Guski of Colfax; brother, James Schnering of Madison; 11 grandchildren, Angie (Justin) Gleiter, Sara (Jeremy) Klukas, Peggy Wallace, Chris Grundtner, Jenny (Mike) Larrabee, Toby (Jenny) Grundtner, Jeremy (Melissa) Martinson, Travis Martinson, Amber Boda (Andrew Turner), Ashley (Robert) Hoffmann, and Jacob Tilseth; 21 great-grandchildren, Hailey, Kennedy, Chloe, Paige, Emma, Brianna, Alexia, Phaedra, Selah, Elise, Josephine, Autumn, Sydney, Caitlin, Eric, Ryanna, Dillion, Cash, Cohen, Mitch, and Olivia.

She was preceded in death by her beloved partner, Donald Anderson; sisters, Eleanor Schnering, Beverly Frohne, and Barbara Miller; brother, Bernard Schnering; and niece, Ann-Margaret Miller.

Memorial service was held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2014, at Sampson Funeral Home, 1017 Railroad Ave., Colfax, with Pastor Mike Larrabee officiating. Visitation began at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
