Delores (Lockmann) Wolfe, age 91 of Colfax passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 28, 2014 with family by her side.

She was born September 16, 1923 in East St. Louis, IL to Oscar and Florence (Bohnenstiehl) Lockmann.

Delores graduated from high school in Collinsville, IL. After high school, she worked at a Dime store and Dress Factory in Collinsville.

She was united in marriage to Edward Wolfe on August 15, 1942 in Red Wing, Minnesota. Delores lived in Collinsville, IL while Ed was in the military. They later moved to Menomonie when Ed finished his tour. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Dale Edward and Nancy Lee.

Delores worked for Dr. Lloyd Milavitz Optometry in Menomonie for 28 years as a secretary. After retirement, she volunteered at Myrtle Werth Medical Center. She was an active member of the Women of the Moose and Homemakers club.

Delores enjoyed dancing, gardening, camping, riding snowmobile, cooking, baking, playing cards with friends and occasional trips to the casino. She also enjoyed traveling to St. Louis to see family and going on the monthly ‘Mystery’ Tour Bus trips sponsored by her local banks but her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband Edward, daughter Nancy Lee, her parents, sisters Irene Gain and Lorriane Marchetti, brother-in-law Louis Marchetti, sister-in-law Dorothy Marchetti, sisters-in-law, Eleanor, Margie, Ramona, and Shirley, brothers-in-law Delmar Wolfe, Kenny Wolfe, Clyde “Bud” Wolfe. Special friends Wanda Timm, Irene Brunn, Veronica Johnson, Ruby Jensen and Mary Hammer.

Delores is survived by her son Dale (Margaret) Wolfe of Colfax, three grandchildren, Scott Wolfe of Colfax, Laurie (Jeff) Bauer of Eau Claire, Kevin (Wendy) Wolfe of Brandon SD. Seven great-grandchildren, Logan (Ellen) Dehnhoff of San Clemente CA, Karissa Dehnhoff of Eau Claire, Jess (Becky) Bauer of Altoona, Kearston (Joe) Szymanski of Richlands NC, Ashlea Wolfe, Kayla Wolfe and Jabob Wolfe of Brandon SD. Three great-great-grandchildren, Bria Marie, Levi James, Mazie Mae. Brother-in-law William Gain of Belleville IL, sisters-in-law Diane Gerth of Menomonie, Goldie Wolfe of Boyceville. Special friends Bob and Lil Sands. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Mayo Clinic Health System-Home, Health and Hospice for their compassionate care.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 at the United Methodist Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Wendy Slaback officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with a Women of the Moose Service at 7:00 p.m. There will also be visitation at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in the Town of Menomonie, Dunn Co. WI.
