A daughter, Montana Marie Martinson, was born Sept. 2 to Chad and Krishona Martinson in Monticello, MN.

Kari Paulus and Travis Sanders were married Aug. 27 at Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls.

Tracey Cross and Travis Logslett were united in marriage June 5 at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard in Eau Claire.

Elk Mound defeated Colfax in football action 34-13 as Ryan Schumacher gained over 300 total yards on rushing, receiving and returning kickoffs for the Mounders.

A son Joshua John Borofka was born Aug. 18 at Bloomer Memorial Hospital to Ron and Kim Borofka of Colfax.

Married Aug. 26 at St. Katherine’s Lutheran Church in Menomonie, were Deanna Michelle Gunn and Jeffrey Alan Shane.

Elk Mound pounded Colfax 33-0 to remain undefeated on the gridiron at 3-0 while the Vikings are now 2-1.

Cynthia L. Schindler of Colfax and Daniel M. Stolt of Bloomer were married Sept. 8 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Cook’s Valley.

The Colfax volleyball team lost three games, 12-15, 8-15 and 11-15 to Chrtek in their first match of the season. Becky Knutson was the top server for Colfax while Karie Kressin and Kathy Thompson were the leading spikers.

Mr. and Mrs. Victor Foslid will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at Bethany Lutheran Church Sept. 23.

Mr. and Mrs. Selmer Larson are the parents of a daughter, Jill Angela, born Sept. 8 at Luther Hospital.

Mrs. Kristine  Emerson celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends Sept. 9 at Hay River Lutheran Church.

It is reported that Kathy Ziebell, who was seriously injured in a car mishap near the Ausman Fjelstad home in River’s Bend is still in critical condition at Luther Hospital.

Donald L. Flynn, seaman recruit, USN, of Rt 1 Colfax, is undergoing recruit training at the world’s largest Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, Ill.

Alden Gunderson will be an assistant for the mammoth freshman orientation program at the University of Wisconsin this fall.

Anton Bronken will have a presentation with color slides, movies and narration of his trip to Norway at the Colfax Lutheran Church Auditorium.

September 25, 1914

Margaret, the seven year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Davey, took a bad fall of about 12 feet from the hay mow at Sed Gunderson’s home, sustaining a broken arm.

Robert Klukas has been making extensive improvements on his residence by the addition of a fine porch in front and a closed room on the back.

C. A. Paul went to Eau Claire on Monday to drive a new Buick car home.
