Dick Kindschy, age 89, of Boyceville, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
Dick was born on November 23, 1924 in the Town of Red Cedar, Dunn Co., WI to Clarence and Fray (Campbell) Kindschy. On October 21, 1948 Dick married Elizabeth Hintzman in Menomonie.
Farming was a big part of Dick’s life. He was raised on the family farm working for his parents for many years eventually owning his own farm. Along with farming, Dick was involved in hauling livestock for 25 years.
Dick loved the company of family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and was a devoted “Ford” man. He will be sadly missed by all.
Dick is survived by his wife Elizabeth, two children, David (Norma) Kindschy, Linda (Richard) Lee; grandchildren Gary Lee, Tammy Hansen, Kelly Lee, Loren (Sarah) Kindschy; 3 step-grandchildren, Caralee (Jeff) Larson, Valerie Dormanen, DuWayne (Angela) Kindschy; 10 great grandchildren and one great- great-grandson. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Kindschy.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial took place at Hay River Cemetery, Hay River Township, Dunn County, WI with a luncheon following at the Boyceville Community Center.
