SANDRA R. BODSBERG

Sandra Raye Bodsberg, age 69, of Boyceville peacefully entered the kingdom of heaven on July 7, 2014. Surrounded by her family, Sandie’s courageous 16-month battle with ovarian cancer came to an end.

Sandie was born on June 19, 1945 (with her twin brother, Andrew) to Andrew R. Hybben and Kathryn V. (Peabody) Hybben at the family farm in rural Clear Lake, Wisconsin. The third of eight children, Sandie and her siblings attended a one room school house one mile from their home named Hilson School. After the school closed, she attended both Connorsville and Boyceville schools. She graduated from Boyceville High School in 1963 where she met her husband, Bobbie Bodsberg. The two married on Sandie’s 20th birthday (June 19, 1965) at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boyceville, Wisconsin. After getting married, Sandie and Bobbie moved to the Twin Cities where they both worked for several years and started their family. Upon the arrival of their first son, Jeffrey, Sandie and Bobbie moved to Stacy, Minnesota where they welcomed their next son, Robbie. They lived in Stacy for two years before moving back home to Boyceville in 1971 where they settled and eventually welcomed their next two sons, Jamie and Rocky.

Sandie spent most of her working career at The Dunn County Reminder and UW-Stout where she met many lifelong friends and acquaintances.

She had an endearing love for family and friends. She will be remembered for her sincere kindness, friendliness, endless hugs, and contagious smile. She enjoyed the company of others, and always put others in front of herself.

She enjoyed her time outdoors and loved to attend the sporting events and activities that her kids and grandkids participated in. Whether it was gardening, sitting around a bonfire, searching for 4-leaf clovers, or finding a great bargain, as long as Sandie was surrounded by those that she loved and cared about, she was happy.

Sandie is survived by her husband Bobbie, sons Jeffrey (Trisha) Bodsberg of New Richmond, WI, Robbie (Shelly) Bodsberg of Downing, WI, Jamie (Leslie) Bodsberg of Turtle Lake, WI, Rocky Bodsberg (fiancé Alison) of Sheboygan, WI, grandchildren, Aaron, Michael, Robert, Riley, Rhea, Cansis, Krista and Cameron, her sister Nancy (King) Hoover of Seattle, WA, twin brother Andrew Hybben and Beth of Stillwater, MN, brother Rondell (Marilyn) Hybben of Boyceville, WI, brother Terry Hybben and Rita of Shoreview, MN, brother Peter Hybben and Jan of Menomonie, WI, sister Judy Hybben of Glenwood City, WI, sister Melody (Lyndon) Schmidt of Boyceville, WI, mother-in-law Luella Bodsberg of Boyceville, WI as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
