GLENN J. ANDERSON
Glenn J. Anderson, age 76, of rural Sand Creek, died on Monday, June 23, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. He was born on February 2, 1938, in Sand Creek WI, to John and Helen (Hanson) Anderson.
Glenn graduated from Chetek High School with the class of 1956. He continued his education at the University of Maryland, graduating with a degree in Business Administration. He married Margaret Peterson on February 19, 1972.
Glenn had a strong faith in God and was dedicated to his church. He lived to give a helping hand and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and other family members. Being a Fighter Pilot in the United States Air Force, he was very patriotic and enjoyed all aspects of aviation. He also enjoyed planting and harvesting and was a “jack-of-all-trades.”
Glenn is survived by his wife of 42 years, Margie; children, Cory (John) Schneider, Michael (Kim) Anderson, Jennifer (Jacob) Cryder, John (Kelsey) Anderson and Dave (Sara) Wattenford; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Janice (Roger) Horn, Harlan (Lana) Anderson, Mavis Anderson, Carol Anderson, Norma (Robert) Klimpke, Sandra Anderson and Corinne (Dennis) Koehler; and sister-in-law, Cintra Anderson.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Duane Anderson.
Visitation was held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Sampson Funeral Home, 1017 Railroad Avenue, Colfax. Funeral Service were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 30 at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 123 West Hamilton Avenue, Eau Claire, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Pastor George Schweitzer officiated. Interment, with military honors, was in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, Spooner, WI.
