A daughter, Adia Mae Higbie, was born April 17 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire to Pat and Audra Higbie of Colfax.
Talent scouts are on the lookout for persons willing to perform as part of the First Colfax Music Fest/Variety Show Aug. 21 at the Colfax Fairgrounds.Proceeds from a free will donation will be used for the Colfax Area Church Youth Group trip to the youth gathering in San Antonio, TX in July, 2006.
Sophia Secraw of the Colfax Comets showed the grand and reserve champion buck rabbit and grand champion doe at the Colfax Fair June 16.

Owners of four local businesses protested at the Colfax village board meeting concerning a possible police entrapment sting when they were cited for allegedly selling beer to minors.
Married June 10 at Holden Lutheran Church were Michelle Johnson and Allen Peeso, both of Colfax.
An open house celebrating the 50th wedding anniversary of Charles and Leona Ferry will be held July 2 at the Viking Bowl in Colfax.

Allison M. Uhrig of Colfax and Peter A. Baganz of Sturgeon Bay were married June 16 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Monomonie.
A storm that could have been the tail end of a tornado caused about $150,000 damage to the Edgar Ranney farm south of Wheeler June 19.
70 Colfax area bike riders raised $2606.40 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as Evan Bohnen was the top money raiser with $297 and Karin Fennie was second with $284.

Rev. Luther H. Berven of Adams, Minnesota has accepted the call extended by the call committee of the Colfax Lutheran Church and he will serve as their pastor after Oct. 1.
Thanks to a guy named Gehrman, Colfax defeated a very strong Prairie Farm team 7 to 3 Wednesday night. Gehrman pitched an eight hitter, and with bases loaded brought in three runs on a three-ply swat and scored on an overthrow to third.
Miss Loretta Bartlett of Colfax, became the bride of Orvald Aspen, also of Colfax June 15 at the German Lutheran Church of Popple Creek.

The largest crowd ever assembled at Holden Lutheran Church gathered for their 50th anniversary celebration and heard a very impressive sermon by the Rt. Rev. J. Nordby, president of the Eastern District of the Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Synod Church of America.
Colfax went to Downing last Sunday and met the team representing that place in one of the “ragedest” games of base ball known to Colfax ball players which ended 27 to 4 with Colfax in the lead.
At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nels E. Nelson in Running Valley last Saturday afternoon, occurred the marriage of their son Henry to Miss Jennie Bjerke.
