BOYCEVILLE — Boyceville Girl Scout Troop 3429, which consists of Brooklyn Marshall, Amber Schlottman, Caitlyn Pelikan and Morgan Andrews, earned a Bronze Award recently after helping in their community.
The group of girls spent the last two years doing many different volunteer activities including holding a thrift sale with donated items and giving the proceeds to the Boyceville Library.
They helped pack boxes at the WestCAP Food Pantry in Boyceville for the senior box program. Also through WestCAP they helped sponsor two local children through the Christmas program.
The girls participated in Stuff the Truck for the Menomonie Humane Society. They made tie blankets and donated them. And they also helped at the Stepping Stones for the Empty Bowls project.
The girls, under direction of leader Laurey Schlottman, used their own troop money out of their cookie sale profits to help with these different projects.
