WALLACE “BUD” GERALD JOHNSON
Wallace Gerald Johnson, Jr, “Bud”, 69, of Glenwood City, WI, died in his sleep early Friday morning June 6, 2014.
He was born to the late Wallace G. Johnson, Sr. and Lorraine “Mulligan” Johnson on February 22, 1945, in Muskogee, OK.
Wally graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1963 (where he was a star athlete) and attended college at Stout and Eau Claire before entering the U.S. Army. He was married twice, his first to Judith Shepard and secondly to Susan Montgomery, mother of his son Gunnar.
He lived, primarily in St. Paul, MN, Clearwater FL and finally Glenwood City, WI. Bud was a career car salesman until he retired in 2005 and was passionate about sports, family, reading and socializing.
Wallace is survived by his son, Gunnar B. age 38 of Minneapolis, MN, daughter-in-law Jane and his granddaughter Reece, age two.
He is also survived in death by four sisters: Linda, Diane, Sandra and Kellie Ann; and three brothers: Joseph, Scott and Todd. In addition he was an uncle to 16 nieces and nephews, multiple grand nieces, grandnephews, cousins and in-laws.
A celebration of Wally (Bud)’s life will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10th at The Anderson Funeral Home, 607 1st St. Glenwood City, WI. His ashes will be buried next to his parents on Wednesday at the Glenwood City Cemetery.
