Jeffery J. Evan, age 60, of Boyceville, WI passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at his home.
He was born June 30, 1953 in Menomonie, WI to Jerome and Joyce (Miller) Evan. Jeff was raised in the Boyceville area and graduated from Boyceville High School in 1971.
On September 22, 1973, Jeff married Janell Van Blaricom in Graytown, WI. They made their home and raised their family in Boyceville, where he served as a volunteer firefighter for many years. Jeff was employed with Cardinal Glass in Menomonie for over 22 years.
He enjoyed being in the woods, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed watching other hunters claim a buck as much as getting one himself. Jeff also loved spending time with family. He was a Brewers and Packers fan, always knew what was going on with every sport, spent many years playing slow pitch and fast pitch softball, and was an avid crossword puzzler.
Jeff was a wonderful man and a great grandpa who always put the needs of others before his own. He will be sadly missed.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Janell; daughter Jennifer (Karl) Palmer; son Jarod (Jenna) Evan; grandchildren, Madeline and Sara Palmer; his father, Jerome (Judy) Evan; brother Jody (Joelene) Evan; sister Janalyn (James) Williams; nieces, Jayde and Jordann Williams and Joni Heard; nephew Justin Evan; as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Evan; also his faithful Brittany Spaniel of 14 years, Kota.
