Colfax senior Denise Kragness has been chosen to play in the Wisconsin Coaches Basketball Association All Star game in Madison June 19.

Jeannette Hanson of Colfax was transported to an area hospital by the Colfax Rescue Squad after her car was hit in the right rear by a truck while she was crossing Highway 29 on County Highway H April 16.

As a safety measure, the Colfax school district is offering bus service to village students living south of 18 mile creek due to the Highway 40 construction project through the downtown area.

A boy Jonathan Jacob, was born to Mary and David Wolff of Colfax April 10 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.

Colfax seniors Lori Bates and Jennifer Hill have been named Youths of the Month by First American Bank of Colfax.

Champions of the youth Zoo League at the Viking Bowl were the Bobcats team with Michael Cook, Scott Hagen, Kathy Bradford and Nicole Marko.

Mr. and Mrs. Dan Smisky of Colfax announce the birth of a baby boy, Robb Joseph born April 14.

Mr. and Mrs. James Irwin of Oconto announce the birth of a son, Christopher Paul born April 9 at Oconto Memorial Hospital.

Joe Dachel of the Colfax boys’ track team won the 440 dash with his personal best time of 58.2 seconds at a meet against Altoona and Boyceville.

A son, James Harvey was born to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Dreger at the River Falls Hospital April 17.

Etta Mae Olson of Colfax and Robert Hobbick of Menomonie were married recently in Minneapolis.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ross are now located in the apartment next to their beauty shop in Colfax, having moved their household goods from Menomonie.

Mrs. Ann Erickson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Satter of Colfax, was married to A. J. Deming of Boyd March 30 at the Methodist Church of Cadott.

Miss Borgny Bronken of Colfax will accompany 80 singers of the Stout Symphonic Singing group on a a nine day tour with 10 concerts throughout Colorado and Wyoming.

Although it has changed and not for the better, the weather was ideal on Tuesday night of last week for most of the residents of Colfax to get out of doors to see the eclipse of the moon. The complete eclipse occurred about 10 p.m.

At the North Running Valley Free Church last Saturday, occurred the marriage of Miss Nora E. Larson and Mr. Oscar Gubrud.

The Misses Belle Brooks and Gudrun Bjerkness went last Friday to Roberts, where Miss Bjerkness represented the Colfax High School in a district declamatory contest taking fourth place.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Chris Johnson Friday night—a boy.
