IDA E.P. OHMAN

Ida E.P. Ohman, age 87 of Glenwood City, WI died Friday, April 18, 2014 at Glenhaven, Inc. in Glenwood City, WI.

Ida was born November 30, 1926 in the Township of Forest, WI to William and Ida (Sarinske) Jeske. She was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Emerald, WI on January 9, 1927 and confirmed August 8, 1940 at Grace Lutheran Church in Connorsville, WI. Ida attended school at Camp Nine and Forest Grade School. Ida married Robert Ohman on June 11, 1949 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Glenwood City, WI. She spent her entire life in the Glenwood City area, where she baby sat for area families and her grandchildren. She also worked at Troutman’s Grocery store.

Ida is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, brothers and sisters Frederick, William Jr., Herbert, Robert, Alvin and Bernard Jeske, Ella Koosmann, Rosella Youngdahl, Shirley Jeske and Esther Loock.

Ida is survived by seven children: Kathleen (Frank) Gray of Barbaroo, WI, Suzanne (Jeff) White of South Lake, TX, Roger (Joyce) Ohman of Glenwood City, WI, David (Nancy) Ohman of Sun Prairie, WI, Craig Ohman of Glenwood City, WI, Timothy (Mary) Ohman of Eau Claire, WI, Carol (Mike) Myers of Glenwood City, WI; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother Orville (Louise) Jeske of Glenwood City, WI; sisters-in-law Diane Jeske, Arlene Jeske, Helen Jeske and Ann Ohman. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City, WI with Reverend Diane House officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery also in Glenwood City. Friends may call at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Wednesday at church.
