GRACE E. GOODELL

Grace E. Goodell, age 85 of Downing, WI died peacefully Friday, April 18, 2014 at her home.

Grace was born November 6, 1928 in Clear Lake, WI to Myle and Harriet (VanBlaricom) Swenby. She married Kenneth Goodell on January 10, 1947 in Prairie Farm, WI. She was a devoted Twins and Vikings fan. Grace enjoyed spending time with her family.

Grace is preceded by her parents, husband Ken, son Barry and brothers Selmer, Robert and Douglas Swenby.

Grace is survived by children Renee (Arthur) Noteboom of Cook, MN, Kendra Sanderson of Downing, WI and Jeff (Jackie) Goodell of Elko, MN; grandchildren Kaloni (Duane) Nelson, Karis (Gregg) Mast, Josh (Randi) Goodell and Jocelyn Goodell; great grandchildren Lauren, Jacob, Bailey, Aiden, Tiegan, Malachi and Nina; brother- and sisters-in-law, Violet Swenby, Perry (Helen) Dinkwine and Lorraine Goodell. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Grace Methodist Church in Wheeler, WI with Reverend Timothy Matthaei officiating. Burial was in the Hay River Cemetery, in the Township of Hay River, WI. Friends were able to call at the church one hour prior to services Tuesday. Local arrangements by the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, WI.
