MEGAN ZERMA ROBERTSON WALCK

Megan Zerma Robertson Walck, beloved wife of the Rev. Dr. Leslie Walck, died on April 4, 2014.

Megan was born to George and Zerma (Smith) Robertson, in Salisbury, North Carolina on January 18, 1955.

As the daughter of a Lutheran pastor she lived in several North Carolina cities and towns. During her high school years Megan’s family moved to Tomah, Wisconsin. Megan received a degree in organ performance from UW River Falls. Throughout her life she praised God through her work as a church organist. She also taught music in schools and found great joy in giving private piano lessons to both children and adults.

Megan’s passions were her family, the Green Bay Packers, loving her dogs, crafting and being in touch with dear friends.

Megan is survived by her husband the Rev. Dr. Leslie Walck of Colfax; her daughter, Callie Netta Walck of St. Louis; her sister, Sylvia (Gary Rayl) Robertson of Chicago; and niece, Alyson Robertson. She is further survived by her beloved aunts and uncles, Pat Robertson of Kansas City, Howard Dean Smith and Henry Smith of North Carolina; along with other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Zerma Robertson.

Visitation was from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Sampson Funeral Chapel, 1017 Railroad Ave., The Funeral Service was held at 11 a. m. on Monday, at Colfax Lutheran Church, 601 E. River St., with a visitation one hour prior to the service at church. The Rev. Rick Hoyme, Bishop of the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin-ELCA, will be presiding. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah WI, at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family who will create the Musician Scholarship Fund at Colfax Lutheran Church.
