Tiffany Creek Elementary to celebrate Reading Week March 3rd – 7th

BOYCEVILLE – Next week, March 3-7 is the annual Reading Week at Tiffany Creek Elementary.

There will be a handful of special events taking place with the kick off being Monday, March 3 at 8:45 a.m. in the gymnasium.

 Then on Thursday (Mar. 6) there will be an all school book swap. The school will provide a collection of gently used books and each student will be able to take home around two to three books.

Also on Thursday, parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles etc. are encouraged to stop by the school between 8:15 and 9:00 a.m. to read to their children and/or family member. Cinnamon rolls will also be available for a special treat.

On Thursday evening, families are invited to dinner and a movie. Pizza and salad will be served starting at 5:30 p.m. in the elementary cafeteria. After dinner, the Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2 movies will be shown.

To wrap the week up, starting at 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning, there will be a “Reptile Discovery” assembly in the gymnasium.

Live reptiles will be visiting TCE and students will get the chance to learn about them; the public is welcome to join as well.

There will also be a dress up day each day next week. Monday is Dr. Seuss and crazy socks. Tuesday is Minion Day/yellow day. Wednesday is class colors. Thursday is Pajama Day. Friday is Eye Love Books t-shirt day and crazy hair/crazy hat.
