Harlan P. Kistner, age 85, of Connorsville, WI died Friday Dec 20, 2013 at The Neighbors of Dunn County West in Menomonie, WI.
Harlan was born July 17, 1928 in the New Haven Township, Dunn Co., WI to Paul and Gertrude (Thomas) Kistner. He graduated High School in Boyceville, WI in 1946. He fondly enjoyed being the bat boy for Andy Pafko during the championship season. Harlan married Geneva Pederstuen on August 18, 1949 in Menomonie. He loved the farm where they ran a dairy for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to auctions, woodworking and he loved being with family and friends.
Harlan is preceded in death by his parents.
Harlan is survived by wife Geneva of Menomonie, WI; four children: Caryll (Ken) Linck of Janesville, WI, Tim Kistner of Downing, WI, Jerry (Beverly) Kistner of New Richmond, WI and Mary (Pete) Krueger of Wheeler, WI; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and sister Adella Mae Moe of Coon Rapids, MN. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services were held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, WI with Reverend Diane House officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Vanceburg Cemetery, Prairie Farm at a later date.
Friends were able to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 6.
