Corrine R. Boda, age 70, of Boyceville, WI passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013 at home, with her family by her side, after her most recent battle with breast cancer.
The former Corrine Ruth Krueger was born Nov. 9, 1943 in the Town of Sherman, Dunn Co. WI to Maynard and Elaine (Shaw) Krueger. She graduated from Boyceville High School in 1961. After graduation Corrine worked as a secretary for 3M in St. Paul for a short time, before moving back to Boyceville.
On Sept. 27, 1969, Corrine married Joseph Boda at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Wheeler. They made their home in the Boyceville area where they raised their three sons. Corrine was very active in the Ladies Aide at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Wheeler, before joining Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville.
Corrine was a wonderful mother and loved spending time with her family but she also enjoyed going to ballgames, going to the cabin and traveling with her husband Joe, especially their trip to Hawaii. She will be sadly missed.
Corrine is survived by her three sons, Joseph (Jennifer) Boda, Jason (Darcy) Boda and Jonathan Boda; six grandchildren, Vanessa, Brett, Bryce, Hannah, Hailey and Caitlin; two brothers, Leonard (Judy) Krueger and Pete (Mary) Krueger; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joe on Nov. 3, 2013; two sisters, Carla Krueger and Lorena Krueger.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating. There will be visitation at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Hay River, Dunn County, WI. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is serving the family.
