Typically each year around the holiday season West CAP tends to see an increase in food donations at the food pantry and this year that has rang true as well.
So far this year a very nice collection of food donations from the area churches as been collected. Those who gathered for community Thanksgiving services and other concerned citizens who wanted to provide a Thanksgiving meal to area families all donated.
“West CAP is very grateful for everyone who has contributed this past year with donated time, food and monetary donations,” shared Melissa Wyss, Food Access and Resource Coordinator.
Also in the recent month, Art students from the Glenwood City High School hand painted ball ornaments for West CAP to use as appreciation gifts to those who contributed a financial donation between now and the end of the year.
Anyone is invited to stop by the food pantry building in Boyceville and choose an ornament if they wish to make a monetary donation to the pantry in 2013 still.
“I would like to thank everyone for the concern and support the community has provided the food pantry this past year,” said Wyss.
As a reminder, the food pantry is available to families or individuals in need that reside in either the Glenwood City or Boyceville School Districts.
Distribution takes place on Thursday afternoons from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
