Anna M. Hoff, age 91, of Menomonie, WI, formerly of Wheeler passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at The Neighbors of Dunn County, surrounded by her family.
The former Anna Margaret Engebretson was born February 8, 1922 in the Town of Sand Lake, Burnett Co. WI to Martin and Cora (Winkler) Engebretson.
On Sept. 21, 1940, Anna married Alfred Hoff in Stillwater, MN. They lived in the Town of Otter Creek, Dunn County all of their married life. Anna was a life-long member of Hay River Lutheran Church.
Anna enjoyed gardening, reading and bird-watching, but most important to her was spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed.
Anna is survived by her sons, Larry (Sharon), Norman (Jan Soiney); daughters, Lois Aasen, Vickie Schlueter, Betty (Steve) Nielsen, Kathy (Larry) Mork and Nancy Hoff; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Julia Hoff, Janice Roubal, Lois Hoff, Hazel Siler, Eileen Klicko and Virginia Bygd. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred; three sons, Richard, Robert and Donald Hoff; a daughter, Beverly Ebling; sons-in-law, Terry Aasen, William Schlueter and Lyle Ebling; two grandchildren, Robert and Lynnette Hoff; great-grandson, Steven Aasen; brothers, Daniel, Edward, Norman and Charlie Engebretson; a sister Mabel Hanson; and half brothers, Otis Engebretson, Harry Johnston and Lincoln Engebretson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at Hay River Lutheran Church in the Town of Hay River, Dunn Co. WI with Pastor David Sands officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in Hay River Cemetery also in the Town of Hay River.
