Angeline S. Nelson, age 98, of Glenwood City died Monday, December 2, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Menomonie, WI.

Angie was born February 15, 1915 in the Township of Glenwood, WI to John and Sylvie (DeLee) DeSmith. She married Chester Nelson November 21, 1934 at parsonage at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Glenwood City, WI. On July 22, 1949 Angie and Chet adopted three children – two sisters and their brother, Nancy was 4, Karen was 2 1/2 and Jerry was 8 months.

Angie worked at the Emerald Creamery during the war, Fabri Tex in Amery, Torti in Baldwin, and the Cheese House in Stillwater and later her and Chet owned and operated the Clam Falls Campground in Clam Falls, WI for more than 20 years.

Angeline is preceded by her parents, husband Chet in 1988, son Jerry, two brothers and eight sisters.

Angeline is survived by two daughters Nancy (Harry) Harjo of Henryetta, OK and Karen (C.B.S.) Padilla of Lake Elmo, MN; Daughter-in-law Mary Nelson of Spring Valley, WI; eight grandchildren Anthony and Heather Padilla, Wendy and Amanda Nelson, Kelly, Michelle, Tammy and Rodger Sherman;. 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday December 7, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Glenwood City, WI with Fr. John Long as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. Local arrangements handled by the Anderson Funeral Home Glenwood City, WI.
