CLIFFORD A. JOHNSON

Clifford A. Johnson was born February 5, 1929, and died November 7, 2013.

He was born in Eau Claire to Arthur and Otillia (Frankenberg) Johnson.

Cliff served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He married Annette Eder in 1957. Annette was the daughter of George and Alice Carew Eder. They lived in Colfax. In 1964, he moved his family to Kelso, Washington, and went to work for Weyerhaeuser Co. as a mechanic in the company logging operation. He remained there until his retirement in 1991.

After retirement, Cliff employed his mechanical skills and ran a home lawn mower repair business. He also drove shuttle bus for the local retirement homes.

Cliff loved traveling, camping, Polka dancing and socializing with friends and family. He was always willing to share his mechanical knowledge and helped out many friends and family members whenever they needed a hand. He and Annette loved to get away in their motor home and traveled to more than half of the states, stopping along the way to visit with many friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette, in 1997, and three brothers.

Cliff is survived by two sons, Bruce and Dana; a grandson, Vincent; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at Dahl-McVicker Funeral Home in Kelso.
