ROBERT W. LARSON
Robert W. Larson, 92, of Boyceville, died peacefully on November 17, 2013 at Neighbors of Dunn County with his family by his side.
Robert was born on April 5, 1921 to Caroline (Anderson) and Louie Larson on the family farm near Downing. He graduated from eighth grade at the Maple Ridge one room schoolhouse. Then he graduated from Downing High School where he loved to play basketball.
Robert married Joanne Madsen on January 12, 1952. They were blessed with 61 years of marriage and four children. Robert was a dairy farmer and retired at 62. He served as a Town of Stanton supervisor, was on the Dunn County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, and was on the Trinity Lutheran Church council. Robert and Joanne enjoyed square dancing for 30 years.
Robert is survived by his wife, Joanne, of Boyceville, son Chris (Judy) Larson of Hammond, daughter Lynn (Matthew) Amundson of Chippewa Falls, son Keith Larson of Menomonie, and daughter Laurie (Les) Green of Bonduel, WI; seven grandchildren: Britta (Morgan) Bergstedt, Tiana (Alex) Larson, Annika (Clint) Crowley, Joseph (Mel) Johnson, Michael Amundson, Neil (Erin) Green, and Megan (Christian) Anderson; and twelve great grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters: Lorraine Huseby of Denver, CO, Inez Roban and Ruth Kraft of Minneapolis, MN, and Ruby Bartz of Downing, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wilbur Larson, sister Irene Larson, sister-in-law Elaine Rineck and brother-in-law Lowell Veenendaal.
Visitation for Robert W. Larson will be at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, WI on Thursday, November 21, at 10:00 A.M. followed by his funeral service at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Tiffany Cemetery in Boyceville.
