PHYLLIS LANA ROGERS

Phyllis Lana Rogers, age 67 of Wilson, Wisconsin died Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Baldwin Area Medical Center.

Phyllis was born October 7, 1946, the daughter of Clarence ‘Trix’ and Edna (Keeley) Johnson at Menomonie, Wisconsin. She grew up at Hersey, Wisconsin and attended Glenwood City Schools, graduating with the Class of 1964. On July 1, 1972 she was married to Ronald Rogers in St. Paul. They lived in the Wilson and Hersey areas all their lives.

Phyllis enjoyed knitting and sewing and was an avid gardener. She worked at McMillan’s in Woodville for several years. Most important was her family. She was a caregiver and took care of her children, babysat for her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and spent many years caring for her mother.

Preceding her in death were her parents Clarence ‘Trix’ and Edna Idell (Keeley) Johnson; brothers and sisters: Joyce Larson; Beverly Johnson; Betty Brathall; Calvin Johnson; Dwayne Johnson; Curtis Johnson; Arnold Johnson; and Douglas Johnson.

Survivors include her husband Ronald Rogers; daughters Shannon (Dean) Fayerweather; and Amanda Rogers; grandchildren: Bryce, Delanie, and Blake Fayerweather all of Wilson; brothers and sisters: Laura (Albert) Delong, Minneapolis; Cheryl Johnson, Baldwin; Westley Johnson, Wilson; in-laws Bob Brathall, Baldwin; and Mary Jonnson, Austin, Indiana, Eileen Edmonds, Portland, OR; many other relatives and friends.

A memorial gathering was held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home in Spring Valley. No other services were held.
