MERWYN ORVILLE HOLLDORF

Merwyn Orville Holldorf, age 72, from Long Prairie, MN passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Minneapolis VA Medical Center after battling liver cancer.

Merwyn was born to Albert and Linda (Klawitter) Holldorf on September 23, 1941, in Forest Township and graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1959. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1964-1966. He worked at Electric Machinery in Minneapolis prior to owning the Country Greenery in New Richmond.

He is survived by his children: Jeffrey of Spooner, WI and Carrie Holldorf of Minneapolis, MN; siblings: Carlla (Dick) Lingerfelt of Glenwood City, Ione DeSmith of Glenwood City, Duane Holldorf of St. Cloud, MN, Jerry (Sally) Holldorf of Chippewa Falls, WI; Cheryll Holldorf, the mother of his children, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A remembrance get-together will be held at the Glenwood City Community Center from 4:30-7:30 on November 21, 2013. A brief reflection will be at 5:00.

Washburn McReavy Funeral Home of Minneapolis served the family. Interment will be in the Glenwood City Cemetery. Memorials in lieu of flowers preferred.
