JOE BODA
Joseph D. Boda, age 76, of Boyceville, WI passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, after his most recent battle with Lymphoma.
Joseph Donald Boda was born June 12, 1937 in Menomonie, WI to Joseph and Carol (Wold) Boda.
Joe graduated from Boyceville High School in 1955. After graduation he joined the U. S. Marine Corp serving until 1962; he was very proud of his service to his country.
On Sept. 27, 1969, Joe married Corrine Krueger at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Wheeler. They made their home in the Boyceville area where they raised their three sons. Joe owned and operated his own milk route until 1980 and later worked for A.P.I. in Boyceville until his retirement in 2008.
Joe was a member of the Harmon-Harris American Legion Post 314 in Boyceville. He loved his family but he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the cabin and traveling with his wife Corrine. He will be sadly missed.
Joe is survived by his wife, Corrine; three sons, Joseph (Jennifer) Boda, Jason (Darcy) Boda and Jonathan Boda; six grandchildren, Vanessa, Brett, Bryce, Hannah, Hailey and Caitlin; a brother, Richard (Dorothy) Boda; a sister, Betty (Carl) Nyberg; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating. There will be visitation at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Hay River, Dunn Co. WI with military honors by Harmon-Harris American Legion Post 314. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is serving the family.
