CLAUDINE CHARLOTTE DAHLBOM

Claudine Charlotte Dahlbom, age 90, formerly of Dallas, WI died Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 at the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond, WI.

Claudine was born April 7, 1923 in Spring Valley, WI to Jesse and Bessie (Peake) Blue. As a young lady they moved to Dallas, WI where she attended school and later attended Barron High School. Claudine later met and married Melvin Rudi in 1941. To this union three children were born: James, Judith & June. They farmed south of Dallas for 25 years. Following the passing of Melvin in 1966, Claudine married Elmer Dahlbom in 1967. They traveled often, everywhere from the east to west coasts as well as trips to Sweden. They spent their winters in San Perlita, TX and after Elmer’s death in 1993 she sold her home in Barron and moved to Texas. Claudine was an avid knitter and crocheter. In 2010 her family moved her back to WI due to her failing health. In May of 2010 she moved to the American Heritage Care Center and resided there until the present.

Claudine is preceded in death by her husbands Melvin and Elmer, son James, daughter June, son-in-law James, grandchildren Linda, Debbie and Sheila; parents, stepfather Daniel Walker, four brothers Ted, Robert, Harold and Harry, three sisters Roberta, Grace and Donna.

Claudine is survived by daughter Judith (Harlan) Coyer of Emerald, WI, nine grandchildren, 24-great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren, two step-granddaughters and three step-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Emerald, WI with Reverend Mary Beth Scow officiating. Burial will be in the Dallas Cemetery Dallas, WI at a later date. Friends may call at the Church on Wednesday one hour prior to services.
