ALICE E. SCHRYVER
Alice E. Schryver, age 92, of Boyceville, WI died Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Barron Care & Rehab Center in Barron, WI.
Alice was born November 26, 1920 in the Township of Tiffany, Dunn Co., WI to Andrew and Anna (Krisak) Horky. She attended and graduated from the Boyceville High School.
Alice married Lowell Schryver on November 4, 1945 in Tiffany Township. She worked as a seamstress at Sandy Lee Manufacturing for many years. Alice enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, crocheting and ceramics. Alice and Lowell enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the birds and the neighbors drive by. She loved the family get togethers and they never left hungry. She also loved the outdoors running around on her golf cart. Alice was a life long resident of Boyceville where she volunteered at the blood drives, her church and as an election judge.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband Lowell, son Steven, parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
Alice is survived by son Michael Schryver and wife Patricia of Eyota, MN; daughter-in-law Judy Schryver of Turtle Lake, WI; four grandchildren: Anissa Blanshan and husband Matt, Kena Schryver, Wendy Markgren and husband Jeff, Ryan Ostenson and wife Jodi; four great-grandchildren: Alex Blanshan, Amara Ostenson, Tabitha and Nicholas Markgren; sister Sophie Olson of Menomonie, WI. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, WI with Reverend Bradley Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Tiffany Cemetery Boyceville, WI. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Local arrangements by the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzhiemer’s Association.
