What is President Obama thinking? Going it alone against Syria in retaliation for the apparent gas attack on civilians that has taken the lives of people in that country and caused injuries to many, many more.
The use of gas is unthinkable and those responsible need to be held accountable for their acts.
But, for us to get involved with missile attacks is also unthinkable. We don’t need to get involved in another war that will never end. We are not the world’s police force. Stay out.
I think that the president is pushing the move against Syria so that the public’s minds are removed from the mess that the Obama’s administration has itself in. Higher taxes, higher unemployment with millions of workers who have stopped looking for work, the mess of the “Affordable Health Care” law he is trying to enforce. They have delayed one step in its implementation because those charged with trying to get it to work have been stymied with all the rules.
I also believe that he does not like the military. The men and women in uniform were set to get an almost a two-percent raise in January under the law, that increases military pay with the cost of living. But the president has now stated that he would like the pay raise held to one percent.
The president also has drawn lines against our energy supply trying to stop coal production and mining. He is also leading the charge of people that believe the only good job is a government job, and that private sector jobs are the enemy and that everyone should be working for the government or at least getting some sort of government assistance.
The President is playing with a powder keg. The Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff, General Martin Dempsey has been quoted as saying, “is that any United States’ war against Syria’s Assad will automatically involved his foreign allies, and that means Tehran and to a smaller extent, Moscow.”
But, I know one thing, if we strike Syria, more people will die.
Thanks for reading.
