DOROTHY A. MOE
Dorothy A. Moe, age 89, of Glenwood City, WI died Thursday August 29, 2013 at Glenhaven Inc. in Glenwood City, WI.
Dorothy was born August 9, 1924 in Springfield Township, WI on the family home to Richard and Lena (Shult) Brummer. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Glenwood City. She attended the Beaver Valley School. Dorothy married Ernest L. Moe October 4, 1941 in Glenwood City. Nine children were born to this union: Dale, Junalee, Donnalee, Illa, John, James, Marrietta, Thomas and Timothy. She was a great cook and baker. She enjoyed cooking for her family and there was always food ready for every visitor. Dorothy also enjoyed word search puzzles, attending her grandchildren’s church and school events. She loved working in the prayer quilting circle at church, traveling, visiting family and friends and working outside.
Dorothy is preceded in the death by her parents, husband Ernest, son Dale, daughter-in-law Loreen Moe, daughter Donnalee Danovsky, sisters Opal Zielsdorf, Mabel Zielsdorf, Lucille Brandt and Edna Moe.
Dorothy is survived by children Junalee (Don) Hogenson, Illa (Fred) Nitchey, John Moe, James (Debbie) Moe, Marrietta (Rodney) Schug, Thomas Moe, Timothy Moe; son-in-law Gary Danovsky; grandchildren Jonathan (Paula) Danovsky, Jeffrey (Tena) Danovsky, Roger Hogenson, Dan (Julie) Moe, Kari (Jeff) Hoefer, Jennifer Moe, Jared (Debbie) Moe, Elizabeth (Jason) Hoendervoogt, Allison Nitchey, Amie Nitchey, Lacey (Tim) Asher, Jesse (Michelle) Moe, Diana (Adam) Zwaschka, Michael (Mandie) Schug, Jill (Josh) Buhr and Laura (Peter) Neuman; great-grandchildren Melissa (Brian) Borras, Benjamin and Samuel Danovsky, Hannah and Chloe Danovsky, Kaitlin, Emily and Sarah Hoefer, Morgan and Miranda Moe, Kayla and Justin Moe, Cadie, Tessa and Leah Asher, Olivia Buhr and Claire Neuman; great-great-grandchild Hayle Borras. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City, WI with Reverend Diane House officiating. Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood City. Local arrangements by the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, WI.
