VIRGINIA K. EDWARDS

Virginia K. Edwards, 91, of Clayton died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Golden Age Manor in Amery.

She was born January 27, 1922 in St. Croix Co, WI to John and Mary (Huber) Heibel. Virginia was married in Amery on November 28, 1942 to George Edwards, Sr. She was a member of St Ann’s Altar Society, member of Jolly Jills Homemakers Club, Turtle Lake Ladies Auxiliary and was a 4-H leader for 25 years. Virginia enjoyed spending time in her garden and making quilts for her loved ones.

Virginia is survived by her husband, George of Clayton; two sons, Dennis (Sue) Edwards of Rhinelander, WI and George (Dona) Edwards, Jr. of Clayton; three daughters, Kathleen (Bob) Krejce of St Paul, MN, Peggy Johnson of Ashland, WI and Annette (Eduardo) Chavez of St. Paul, MN; daughter-in-law, Margaret Edwards of Menomonie, 13 grandchildren, Kelly Johnson, Kim Collins, Allison Chapman, Jim Krejce, Jennifer Boldt, Melissa Kastern, Michelle Johnson, Nick Chavez, Anjelica Chavez, Mike Norris, Ryan Benson, Stacy Benson and adopted grandson, Steve Smith; 17 great grandchildren and one sister, Amelia Clemmens. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, James in 1976 and Roger in 1997 and nine siblings.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Turtle Lake, WI with Father Dennis Mullen officiating. Burial was in Reeve Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kelly Johnson, Kim Collins, Allison Chapman, Jim Krejce, Jennifer Boldt, Melissa Kastner, Michelle Johnson, Nick Chavez, Anjelica Chavez and Steve Smith.
