Boyceville Bits and Pieces – 8-28-2013

Here another week has gone by. When I was young, it seemed like when you were waiting for something special, it took forever. Now time flies by. That’s what old age does, I guess.

Kathy Hanson’s sister Evelyne and her husband Darrell Longdo from Oconomowoc visited for a few days.

The Lions Sportsmans Banquet was held on Saturday evening at Boyceville Fire Hall. Keep this in mind it’s always the Saturday after Pickle Fest. A good crowd of sportsman (over 110) attended, and it was a fun evening.

Louise Witt and Lola Walden from Cole Camp, Mo. were visiting Sherman Hanson for a week. Then they were going to help Agnes Hanson celebrate her 95th birthday. God Bless.

On Saturday afternoon we traveled to Fairmont, MN to a birthday party for Fred’s aunt, Joan Closs, and two of her kids. So we celebrated a 60-70-80 years together. 60 was nephew Jon Closs, 70 was Marilyn Closs and 80 was Joan’s. It was a big party held at the Flying Goose Pavilion. There was well over 200 in attendance. There were a lot of Cartwrights and nephews and nieces – all of Fred’s mother’s side.

Well this is all I have this time. Please call with your whereabouts.

God Bless,
Sharon
