JAMES E. HILL

James E. Hill, 59, longtime resident of Green Bay, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 after complications due to pneumonia.

He was born on September 15, 1953 in Glenwood City, WI to William and Evelyn (Rasmussen) Hill. On April 27, 1991 he married Susan Harvieux in Green Bay. Jim earned his Master’s Degree in Counseling and Vocational Rehabilitation from UW – Stout. With his education, he was one of the original counselors at Libertas Treatment Center and continued his career for 22 years at the clinic. He retired as the Clinical Supervisor in 2011 due to health issues.

Jim was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a master storyteller and loved the challenge of fixing anything that broke in the house. His many friends will miss their impromptu counseling sessions.

Jim is survived by his wife, Susan; two sons, Erik (Danielle) Harvieux and their daughter due in December; Peter (Carrie) Harvieux and their daughter, Adelle; one brother, Joe (Gloria) Hill; six sisters, Jodi (Paul) Borreson, Peggy (Jim) Murtha, Nancy (Tom) Berends, Barb (Terry) Kerr, Mari (Mike) Wagner, Sue (Jeff) Roen; many nieces, nephews and friends; his special pets, Buddy and Pud; his special neighbors, Dennis and Kathy; and the Chute Pond neighbors, especially Eric and Grandma Diane.

He is preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Haelyn Joy Harvieux; his father, William “Bill” Hill; maternal grandparents, Fred and Mae Rasmussen; paternal grandparents, Edward and Anna Hill; a nephew, David Roen.
