SUSAN M. MINTER

Susan Marie (Story) Minter, age 66, a faithful servant of Christ, died on July 19, 2013 with her family by her side.

Susan was born to Melbourne and Bernadine (Kimberly) Story on April 8, 1947 in Rockford, IL.

Susan graduated from East High in 1965 in Rockford where she met her husband Dennis Minter and they married on April 2, 1966. She spent the next 20 years traveling the world with her husband and children as a career Army wife. In 1986 Dennis and Susan retired from Army life to their dream hobby farm in Boyceville, WI. Here she became a master gardener and dedicated her life to helping others. Her genuine love and compassion for others has impacted hundreds of lives.

The family would like to thank the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN for their compassionate care of Susan and our family.

Susan is survived by her husband Dennis, children Paul Minter, Laura (John) Lenhart, Karen (Dan) Wellumson, grandchildren Michayla Braun, Ezekiel Braun, Kaylyn Amundson, Colton Amundson, Calvin Amundson and Denise McKeithan, sisters Kimberly (Richard) Staciones and Paula (Marshall) Story, and half-brother Bradd Douglass, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The funeral will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Cedarbrook Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Remy Diederich and Pastor Bob Noah officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place Monday, July 29, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner WI. Memorials will be shared with the many organizations Susan supported.
