ROBERT “ROB” WYSS

Rob Wyss, 48, of Knapp, Wisconsin passed away suddenly from medical complications on July 7, 2013.

Rob was born on June 11, 1965 to Richard and Joan Wyss.

A 1983 graduate of Menomonie High School, Rob was an outdoorsman at heart. He spent countless hours in the Knapp hills and beyond chasing the “elusive whitetail buck.”

On September 18, 1993 Rob married Kelly Wernlund. This year would have marked their 20 year wedding anniversary.

When he wasn’t in the woods, he could be found working with pride on his property; trimming trees, building rock gardens, and enjoying a fire around his fire pit at their log home.

Rob also loved shooting pool. Whether playing in his basement, or competitively in tournaments, he loved the challenge and the people that pool brought into his life.

Rob’s career began with Combined Insurance Company. He started in sales and moved on to become a National Sales Trainer. Rob started his own agency in 2007 in Glenwood City. He treasured the relationships he built with his clients and took great pride in being their agent.

Rob was preceded in death by his grandparents Fred and Norma Wyss and Frank and Lois Larson.

Rob is survived by his wife, Kelly Wyss, parents Richard and Joan Wyss, sisters, Kathy (Jack) Elliott, Laura (Brian) Bergman, Sarah (Eric) Tostrud, Tammie (Cory) Amundson. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews that he loved hanging out with. Lastly, one very “Lucky” dog!

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 on Thursday, July 11th, 2013 at Olson’s Funeral Home in Menomonie, Wisconsin.  An Outdoor Funeral Service celebrating Rob’s life will take place at Rob and Kelly’s home on Friday, July 12th. Funeral service will be at 11:00 with visitation one hour prior.  Address: N7303 County Road Q, Knapp, WI.
