ALLEN D. DANIELSON
Allen D. Danielson, 85, of Colfax, passed away June 7, 2013 at Our House Assisted Living in Chippewa Falls under the care of Mayo Clinic Health and Hospice.
He was born May 24, 1928 in rural Cadott to Mable and William Danielson. After graduating from Cadott High School in 1945, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from River Falls State Teachers College and a Master of Agriculture Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He taught vocational agriculture in the Wisconsin schools of Birchwood, Cornell, Chilton and Colfax. Allen also served in the U.S. Army as an artillery instructor with a tour of duty in Okinawa and was honorably discharged attaining the rank of Sargent.
He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years, Marette (MacFarlane); and two daughters, Mary Kay and her husband, Vern Lovejoy, of Plover, WI and their daughters, Dr. Chelsea Lovejoy and husband Dr. Andrew Williams, Menomonie; Rebecca Lovejoy, Phillips; Hannah and Elizabeth, at home; daughter, Susan Erickson, of Augusta, GA and her children, Matthew Erickson and his wife, Nikki and stepson, Jacob, Augusta, GA and Melissa Erickson, Athens, GA.
He is also survived by his sister, Muriel Shervey, Chippewa Falls and brothers, Wayne, Harland, Bernard and Clarence Danielson of Cadott and Mark Danielson of Menomonie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Eleanor Sheldahl and son-in-law Robert Erickson.
The Memorial service will be held Thursday, June 13,2013 at Big Drywood Lutheran Church, Cadott, WI at 11:00 a. m., officiated by Rev. Leslie Walck. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a. m. until the time of service at the church on Thursday.
