MARIE E. SECRAW

Marie E. Secraw, 52, a resident of Trempealeau County Health Care Center in Whitehall died Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Tri County Memorial Hospital in Whitehall.

She was born November 22, 1960 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Vernon and Lucille (Zwiefelhofer) Secraw.

Marie had worked at Colfax Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide until her illness when she retired.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in the town of Cooks Valley.

Marie is survived by three brothers, Kenneth and Michael (Jean) both of Colfax and Stephen (Suzanne) of Nelson; three sisters, Lorena (Stephen) Marris and Joyce (Jim) Wait both of Colfax and Barbara Ableidinger of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 11 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cooks Valley. Rev. John Potaczek was the celebrant of the funeral Mass with interment in the church cemetery.

Friends were able to call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 10 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cooks Valley. There was a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

She enjoyed visiting with her family and always enjoyed dancing, cats and watching television.
