LOYD R. “DICK” LUNDQUIST

Loyd R. “Dick” Lundquist, age 76, of Sarona died Sunday, May 5, 2013 at his home. He was born July 13, 1936 in Clear Lake, WI, the son of Goran and Ruth (Finne) Lundquist. He was married in Glenwood City, WI on August 22, 1959 to Mary (Chicilo).

Dick was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and golfing. For many years, he was employed as a salesman for Northland Church Furniture in Luck. After retirement, he became a groundskeeper at Turtleback Country Club in Rice Lake and was very proud of his work on the fairways there. He also loved spending time with his family and friends at their cabin near Springbrook, and enjoyed his travels with Mary, especially to Europe and Alaska. Dick was a long-time member of Springbrook VFW Post #10568.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Sarona; 4 children: Terri (Paul) Sharpe, Coon Rapids, MN; Lisa Droen, Elk River, MN; Todd (fiance Stephanie McMillan), Eau Claire, WI; Tom Lundquist, Las Vegas, NV; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 1 brother, Donald (Mary) Lundquist, Luck, WI; and his mother-in-law Clara Wickenhauser, Glenwood City. Preceding him in death are his parents, his son Joseph; 1 sister Roxanne, and his father-in-law Joseph Chicilo.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 10, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Skinner Funeral Home in Rice Lake. Burial will be in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
